At Twiga Lodge we pride ourselves in producing the very best in freshly made home cooking. Our location means we have access to beautifully healthy and freshly picked vegetables, tropical fruits and herbs, some of which are grown in our own very own vege garden. We have access to farm meat and poultry as well as fish from Lake Victoria and the Indian Ocean.

We cater to international tastes, offering a wide range of salads, home made soups, stews, steaks and other meat dishes as well as inviting alternatives for vegetarians, and colourfully tasty desserts. Nothing beats the aroma of freshly made bread, which at TwigaLodge is prepared and baked on site in our kitchens.

Ourstaff are friendly and highly skilled with years of experience behind them. Hand picked from the local community, the kitchen staffenjoy the art of cooking and take great delight in creating meals you will savor, including a range of African dishes that will pleasantly surprise you.

End the meal with a cup of freshly brewed coffee from the nearby coffee plantations, with an African ‘Night Cap’ to compliment it.Tanzania produces an average of over 50,000 tons of Arabica coffee per annum.

All meals are taken in the dining room or on our beautiful balconylooking over the groundsand horizon, which on sunny days has an infinite blue hugging Kilimanjaro and a star-studded sky under the blanket of night.

We also cater to your individual requests. We can set up a fabulous dining table within the garden allowing complete privacy, to enjoy a star-studded romantic dinner by candlelight or a champagne breakfast. In addition we have a new BBQ deck, beautifully designed to compliment a meal on coals out doors!
