Accommodation

All our rooms are comfortably designed using bright African shades and colours; and decorated using locally sourced materials, traditional furniture and artifacts. Each room is named after an African animal associated with our little piece of heaven, such as our roof top ‘Simba bedroom’.

Two of the up stair suites have a top and bottom room with interior staircase and en suite bathroom with shower and bath, where you can pamper yourself in a luxurious bubble bath after a long international flight or a full day’s activities. Another is accessed via our spacious balcony and all upstairs’ rooms have a stunning view of Mount Meru and its surrounding tropical rain forest. Fresh flowers from the garden fill each room with soothing fragrance and all toiletries and fluffy, soft towels are provided in the bathrooms.

It’s not unusual to find one of our resident Swallows singing outside your bedroom window, or colourful iridescent Sunbirds hovering above in search of nectar.

Crisp cotton sheets adorn the beds, complete with mosquito nets, with bedside lamps and soft ceiling lights above. The décor is a mixture of new and old, with a genuine ‘Out of Africa’ feel and an ambience, which will make you feel right at home.

Keypad safes are provided in the rooms for your valuables, but be assured you are in safe hands; the grounds of the lodge secured by local askaris (guards).
